On 2 October 2026 the cheapest Scrunch AI plan, Core, cost $250 a month for 125 prompts across four AI engines. What you get for $35: one real week of OperStack Watch

This is the actual first report for a Phuket property brand we run, run on 26 September 2026 by the same code subscribers get. We hide the brand name because it is our own site, not a client.

Watch keeps this work going every 7 days: the same 10 buyer questions, the businesses named in the answers, 3 rivals measured beside your site and repeated page checks. Later reports compare the new observation with the previous week and include proposed fixes for the pages checked. You review and publish the changes.

For the question "Top firms to help foreign buyers evaluate Phuket developments before reservation?"

Add this to your homepage, just below the first section.

brand helps foreign buyers compare Phuket property before reservation with a three-project shortlist matched to budget and use, plus checked construction status and buyer review. Featured projects include Origin Residences Bang Tao, So Origin Bangtao Beach and Essence Residence Rawai. We provide verified inventory and transparent prices for the main investment districts, with median prices from our price list. We also show a 0% interest construction payment plan with 20% down, 30% during construction and 50% on completion, and Thai bank mortgage terms of up to 15 years with 50% down payment required.

Before you publish: add the words "developments" to this paragraph if you sell them.

Every sentence in the paragraph comes from the site's own pages; the tool checks each one against a quote before it goes in. Answers change from run to run, so Watch asks the same ten questions every week and shows the trend. Seven days free, then $35 a month.

What are OperStack and Scrunch AI for?

OperStack answers three questions for a business owner: does ChatGPT (and, in Watch, Perplexity) name you, who is named instead, and what to change on which page. Scrunch AI is a monitoring platform for marketing teams, with 125 prompts on its $250 Core plan across four AI engines. Both follow AI answers; the size of the job differs.

OperStack: the answer, the names and the paragraph

OperStack is our product, and we built it around the moment an owner types a question into ChatGPT and sees a rival’s name. Type your address into the free AI visibility check and it samples as many as ten pages listed in your sitemap and gives them a score out of 100. Next it puts three questions to ChatGPT, phrased the way someone shopping for your service would put them, with web search switched on. You see whether you were named, and who was named in your place. If a checked page has no short answer at the top, the check writes one from what your pages already say.

OperStack Watch repeats the loop every week for $35: ten buyer questions, the names ChatGPT and Perplexity chose, three rivals measured beside you on the same scale, a fresh ten-page score, and the fix list with page addresses and text to paste. One email arrives every seven days from the day you subscribe.

Scrunch AI: prompt monitoring with an agent layer

Scrunch describes itself as an enterprise-grade platform that helps businesses “observe, understand, and optimize their presence in AI search”. It tracks prompts you choose, benchmarks you against competitors, maps which domains and pages AI answers cite, and runs site audits. On Enterprise it also sells an Agent Experience Platform (AXP) that intercepts AI traffic at the CDN layer and serves AI agents a parallel, AI-ready version of a site. Scrunch now describes itself as “a Sitecore Company”.

Where OperStack goes further for an owner

OperStack puts the finished edit in front of the person who can publish it, and that is where it pulls ahead of Scrunch AI for a small business. Scrunch Core lists basic content generation and one page optimization a month; its pages do not say whether that text is built only from what your own site says. OperStack hands over the paragraph itself, built only from facts that already appear on your pages, tied to a question where AI named a rival instead of you, with the address of the page it belongs on. Price is the second gap: Scrunch starts at $250 a month on Core, $3,000 across twelve monthly payments, while Watch costs $35 a month or $299 a year. The third is the first look. Scrunch offers a free AI visibility audit and a 7-day trial that needs a credit card. The OperStack check runs from a bare address, with no signup, and shows ChatGPT’s live answer while you wait.

  1. Ten pages every time. Scrunch meters site audits: 5 a month on Core. Every OperStack check reads up to ten pages, and Watch repeats that weekly.
  2. Names sorted for you. ChatGPT often mentions portals and directories next to real rivals. OperStack sorts them into competitors, non-competitors and names it could not identify.
  3. A letter, on a fixed rhythm. Scrunch shows insights in its app, with no weekly email stated on the pages we read. Watch writes once every seven days.
  4. No setup project. There is nothing to install for the check or for Watch.

What does a year of Scrunch AI cost next to OperStack?

On 3 October 2026 the Scrunch pricing page listed Core at $250 a month, which comes to $3,000 a year by our multiplication. Its FAQ offers an annual discount, “equivalent to two months free”, to Enterprise clients only. OperStack Watch costs $35 a month or $299 a year. At twelve monthly payments, Core is $3,000 and Watch is $420.

The yearly totals for Core and Agency Core are our arithmetic from the per-month figures the page shows; no annual price for those plans is listed. Core includes five user licenses and one brand workspace; Agency Core has unlimited user licenses, three brand workspaces and three pitch workspaces.

Like for like, the cheapest Scrunch plan that tracks AI answers is Core, so the fair comparison is $250 against $35 a month. The money buys a different scope. Core covers five user licenses, one persona, 125 prompts across four engines and five site audits a month. Watch covers one site: ten questions a buyer would ask ChatGPT and Perplexity, the names they gave, three rivals scored beside you, ten pages measured again each week, and the text for the fixes. Our pricing page lists the rest, including the $149 one-off audit that reads a hundred pages.

The trial and the card

Scrunch’s FAQ answers the card question directly: “Yes, Scrunch requires a credit card to start the 7-day free trial”, and the account moves to a paid subscription after the trial unless cancelled. The trial includes all Core features, 125 prompts among them. The “No credit card required” line on the Scrunch homepage belongs to the free AI visibility audit. During the trial an account holds a single brand. With OperStack, the card question only comes up once you decide on Watch: checkout asks for one, and a cancellation within the first week costs nothing.

How does each tool check AI visibility?

Scrunch runs your chosen prompts, 125 on Core, across four AI engines on Core and up to nine on Enterprise. OperStack Watch asks ChatGPT and Perplexity ten buyer questions a week with web search on and reads ten pages of your site each time. The first measures breadth across engines; the second ties each answer to a page edit.

Prompt count is where Scrunch is built for scale: 125 unique prompts on Core, 250 on Agency Core and custom volumes on Enterprise, where its enterprise page says brands “monitor millions of prompts”. A single-location business rarely has that many topics that buyers ask about. It has a handful of questions that decide whether a caller finds it: who is good for this service in this city, which firm handles this case, where to buy this product. Ten well-chosen questions asked every week cover that ground.

On pages, the two tools read different things. Scrunch’s site optimization maps a site (25 pages in the site map on Core) and runs a limited number of site audits per month. The OperStack check samples ten pages from your sitemap on every run and scores each across five areas: access for 14 AI crawlers and fetchers, an llms.txt map, schema that names the business, quotable answer-first content, and dates with sources. The total is out of 100, alongside a separate SEO basics score for the same pages.

Personas are a second axis of scale. Core includes one persona, one country and one language, and Enterprise makes all three custom, so a team can see whether an answer changes when the asker looks like a buyer, a researcher or a partner. That is useful when one brand sells to several audiences. A dental practice or a two-partner law firm has one buyer in mind: the local person who needs the service now. Watch keeps that buyer’s ten questions fixed from week to week, which is what makes last week and this week comparable.

On engines, Scrunch covers more. Watch asks ChatGPT and Perplexity only. For the other assistants, the free check reads your robots.txt rules and reports engine by engine whether their bots are allowed in; it does not follow what those assistants answer week to week.

What lands on the owner’s desk each Monday from Scrunch and from OperStack?

A Scrunch user opens a dashboard: prompt results across four engines on Core, competitor tracking, citation sources and Insights that explain “what happened, why it matters, and what to do about it”. A Watch subscriber opens 1 email, sent every 7 days from the day they subscribed, with the week’s answers, the names and the fix.

OperStack Watch sends a letter that a business owner can act on before lunch. The report shown above is a real week for a Phuket property brand we run: ten buyer questions asked of ChatGPT, the brand named in some and missing from others, the firms named in its place listed by how often they came up, and one paragraph proposed for a named page. The owner’s Monday job is short: read the names, open the page, check that every fact in the paragraph is true, paste it, publish. The next letter, seven days later, asks the same questions again, so the effect of the change can be followed across weeks rather than guessed. Scrunch’s Monday view is richer in numbers and aimed at a team: results by engine and prompt, citation maps, sentiment and insights. For a marketing department that reports upward, that depth has value. For an owner with 30 minutes, the letter is enough.

The practical difference shows in who does what next. In Scrunch, a recommendation becomes a task for someone on the team, who drafts or edits a section with Scrunch’s basic content generation, and for someone else who checks it. In Watch, the draft already exists and every sentence in it was matched against quotes from your own site before it reached you. The owner’s job is to confirm the facts are still current.

  1. Open the letter and read which businesses ChatGPT and Perplexity named for the questions you missed.
  2. Open the page the fix names and read the proposed paragraph against the page.
  3. Paste it below the heading, publish, and note the date.
  4. Compare the same questions in next week’s letter.

When you need a different kind of tool

Scrunch AI is built for a larger job than Watch: brand monitoring for marketing teams at mid-size and enterprise companies, with 125 to 250 prompts on its public plans, custom volumes, nine engines, SOC 2 Type II and single sign-on on its Enterprise tier. That is a reporting operation, with its own staff and budget.

  1. Enterprise access control. Security reviews asking for SAML or OIDC sign-on, role-based access control and SOC 2 Type II fit a platform built for them.
  2. An optimized copy of your site at the edge. Scrunch’s Agent Experience Platform, an Enterprise feature, intercepts AI traffic at the CDN layer (Akamai, Cloudflare and Vercel are named) and serves AI agents a parallel, AI-ready version of the site; OperStack does not change how your site is served.
  3. Many markets and languages. Teams tracking prompts across countries need a tool sized for that.

If the question is simply whether ChatGPT and Perplexity name you and what to fix, the $35 Watch letter covers it, and the free check shows today’s ChatGPT answer first.

Clinic, agency, software company, online store: which tool for which business?

For 3 of these 4 buyers the entry price settles most of it: Scrunch Core costs $250 a month, Watch $35. The fourth, a software company with a marketing team, may weigh multi-engine tracking. In every case the first step costs nothing: run the free check and read ChatGPT’s answer.

  1. A clinic owner. Patients ask ChatGPT or Perplexity which clinic in the city to trust for a treatment. The owner needs to know whether the clinic is named and which clinics are named instead, and needs a service page that opens with a plain answer. Watch covers exactly that for $35 a month. A 125-prompt plan with five user licenses is more than a single clinic can read.

  2. An agency running ten clients. Scrunch Agency Core costs $500 a month for three brand workspaces and three pitch workspaces; ten clients need more workspaces than that, and Enterprise pricing is not published. The OperStack kit is lighter: the free check to open a pitch by showing a prospect who ChatGPT recommends over them, the free MCP server to put up to four sites on one 100-point scale from inside Claude or Cursor, a $149 audit when a client signs, and Watch for each client whose fixes your team will publish.

  3. A SaaS company. Buyers ask ChatGPT and Perplexity for shortlists of tools. Watch lists the products named in your place and writes the opening your pricing or product page lacks. A company that must report visibility across five engines to a board may run a platform like Scrunch as well; see also OperStack vs Profound.

  4. An online shop. Shoppers ask where to buy and which store is reliable. Watch shows which shops ChatGPT and Perplexity prefer and writes the answer-first paragraph for the category page that needs it.

Using both, or moving from Scrunch AI to OperStack

About 5 steps cover a move, and 2 of them happen before cancelling. Teams that keep Scrunch for multi-engine reporting can add Watch for $35 a month to get the written page fixes; teams that only need ChatGPT and Perplexity answers can switch and keep the saving.

Running both is simple because the tools do not overlap on output. Scrunch keeps the long prompt list and the engine-by-engine trend lines. Watch turns ChatGPT and Perplexity answers into a named page and a paragraph each week. Scrunch MCP, included on Agency Core and custom on Enterprise, lets Claude or Cursor query your monitoring data; OperStack’s free MCP server, in the same session, scores any site out of 100 and compares up to four sites on one scale, so the domains Scrunch says AI answers cite can be measured beside yours.

Moving over takes five steps:

  1. Export what you want to keep. Scrunch’s terms say data “may” be deleted once a commercial subscription has lapsed more than 30 days. Pull figures through the API (Enterprise) or by hand first.
  2. Put your address into the free check and read what ChatGPT answers today, plus any opening paragraph the check drafts.
  3. Start Watch. Checkout takes a card; stopping inside the first week costs nothing.
  4. Cancel Scrunch from Manage Account, then Billing. Access stays to the end of the billing cycle. Scrunch’s terms and billing article state no refund terms.
  5. Keep your prompt list. The questions you tracked in Scrunch are a good guide to which buyer questions matter most.

Choosing the ten Watch questions is easier with a Scrunch history behind you. Sort the tracked prompts by how often competitors appeared in the answers, drop the ones about topics you do not sell, and keep the questions a paying customer would type before calling. Those are the ones where a named rival costs you business. If two prompts differ only in wording, keep one, since a weekly record reads better with ten distinct questions than with ten versions of two.

What our data says about the paragraph at the top of the page

In our early sample of 496 small-business sites (25 September 2026) (law firms, real estate, dental) in the US, UK, Australia and Canada, checked 25 September 2026 with the OperStack free check, 214 sites, or 43%, opened none of their sampled pages with a short direct answer. That missing paragraph is the one the check writes. Full study: 731 checks.

Forty-three percent is the share of small-business sites where not one checked page opened with a short, direct answer carrying a figure. The OperStack free check sampled up to ten pages per site, so a site landed in that group only if every sampled page opened with a slogan, a welcome line or a gallery instead of a statement a reader could quote. For an assistant building an answer, that opening matters: it is the part of a page that says plainly what the business does, for whom and at what price or scale. When the check finds such a page, it picks one to fix, the homepage first, skipping service pages such as contact, privacy or checkout, and drafts an opening of 50 to 80 words. Each sentence must be backed by exact quotes from that page, and any word that does not appear on the site sends the sentence back for rewriting or removal.

What the sample countedSitesShare of 496
Sites put through the check511
Sites that opened and were scored496100%
No short answer at the top of any checked page21443%
At least one checked page opened with a short answer28257% (our subtraction)

The sample measured page structure only; it did not measure how often ChatGPT named these businesses. The link between an answer-first opening and being named is what Watch lets an owner follow week by week, on their own site, after the paragraph goes live. A single edit is one change among many, and one week’s movement proves nothing about sales. What it gives is a dated record: the text published, the day it went up and the answers that followed.

Scrunch’s own site, scored by the same check on 27 September 2026, is shown above; its quotable-content score was 8 of 25.

Our own site on the same check: oper-stack.com scores 93 out of 100 over 10 pages, measured on 7 October 2026. The number is measured again on every build of this site and never typed by hand.

Frequently asked questions

How much does Scrunch AI cost?
On 3 October 2026 the Scrunch pricing page listed Core at $250 a month for brands and Agency Core at $500 a month for agencies, with Enterprise priced by sales. The annual discount, "equivalent to two months free", is offered to Enterprise clients only. Twelve months of Core come to $3,000 by our arithmetic. OperStack Watch costs $35 a month or $299 a year.
Does the Scrunch AI free trial need a credit card?
Yes. Scrunch's FAQ says: "Scrunch requires a credit card to start the 7-day free trial", and the account moves to a paid subscription unless you cancel. The "No credit card required" line on its homepage refers to the free AI visibility audit, not the trial. The trial is limited to one brand. OperStack Watch takes a card at checkout, but the free check needs no account at all.
Is there a free Scrunch AI plan?
No always-free plan appears on the Scrunch pricing page. The homepage offers a free AI visibility audit with "See results in 30 seconds" and "No credit card required"; the pages we read did not say what a visitor must submit before seeing a result. The OperStack free check asks only for a site address.
How many AI engines does Scrunch track compared with OperStack?
Scrunch Core and Agency Core cover four engines: ChatGPT, Perplexity, Google AI Overviews and Copilot. Enterprise adds Claude, Gemini, Meta AI, Google AI Mode and Grok, nine in all. OperStack Watch asks ChatGPT and Perplexity only, ten buyer questions a week, with web search on. The free check also reads your robots.txt for 14 AI crawlers and fetchers, so you see which assistants' bots can reach your pages.
Does Scrunch write the text for my website?
Scrunch Core lists basic content generation and one page optimization a month; the pages we read do not say whether that text is built only from facts on your own site. OperStack writes the paragraph itself, using only facts found on your own pages, ties it to a question where AI named a rival instead of you, and tells you which page it belongs on.
Can a small business use Scrunch AI?
Scrunch describes itself as an enterprise-grade platform, and its entry plan, Core, starts at $250 a month with five user licenses and 125 prompts. A clinic, a law practice or a local shop usually needs a smaller answer: do ChatGPT and Perplexity name us, who do they name instead, and what should we change. OperStack Watch answers those three for $35 a month.
