OperStack vs Otterly.AI: page fixes in your weekly ChatGPT and Perplexity report

OperStack Watch brings 10 weekly buyer questions in ChatGPT and Perplexity, 3 rival comparisons, repeated page checks and proposed fixes into recurring reports for $35 monthly. A free check shows the approach before signup. Otterly Lite costs $29 monthly for 15 prompts, checked on 26 September 2026. For $35, Watch reads up to 10 pages, names the businesses recommended instead of you and supplies a priority fix with text to paste.

OperStack is our product. We compare documented scope and prices, with sources and limits shown below.

Choose OperStack if

  • You want the fix written out: the page address and a paragraph built only from what your own pages say.

  • You want one email a week with what changed and the names ChatGPT and Perplexity picked instead of you.
  • You want your site read ten pages at a time, with three rivals measured beside you, not one URL per audit.

When Otterly.AI is the better choice

  • Your marketing department reports daily share of voice across many countries and languages.
  • You need AI bot analytics from server logs and a Looker Studio feed for client dashboards.

What you get for $35: one real week of OperStack Watch

This is the actual first report for a Phuket property brand we run, run on 26 September 2026 by the same code subscribers get. We hide the brand name because it is our own site, not a client.

Watch keeps this work going every 7 days: the same 10 buyer questions, the businesses named in the answers, 3 rivals measured beside your site and repeated page checks. Later reports compare the new observation with the previous week and include proposed fixes for the pages checked. You review and publish the changes.

The fix of the week, as it arrived

For the question "Top firms to help foreign buyers evaluate Phuket developments before reservation?"

Add this to your homepage, just below the first section.

brand helps foreign buyers compare Phuket property before reservation with a three-project shortlist matched to budget and use, plus checked construction status and buyer review. Featured projects include Origin Residences Bang Tao, So Origin Bangtao Beach and Essence Residence Rawai. We provide verified inventory and transparent prices for the main investment districts, with median prices from our price list. We also show a 0% interest construction payment plan with 20% down, 30% during construction and 50% on completion, and Thai bank mortgage terms of up to 15 years with 50% down payment required.

Before you publish: add the words "developments" to this paragraph if you sell them.

Every sentence in the paragraph comes from the site's own pages; the tool checks each one against a quote before it goes in. Answers change from run to run, so Watch asks the same ten questions every week and shows the trend. Seven days free, then $35 a month.

What are OperStack and Otterly.AI for?

OperStack Watch combines 10 weekly buyer questions in ChatGPT and Perplexity with page scoring and draft fixes for $35 monthly. Otterly Lite costs $29 monthly and tracks 15 prompts daily across 4 included engines. Our distinction is the written page work and scheduled inbox report; Otterly has the lower monthly entry price.

OperStack: from ChatGPT’s answer to a paste

Type an address into the free check. With no account, it samples up to ten pages from your sitemap and scores them out of 100: can AI crawlers get in (robots.txt read for 14 crawlers and fetchers), is there an llms.txt map, is the business defined in schema, is there an answer-first paragraph worth quoting, are pages dated and sourced. It also gives an “SEO basics” score on the same pages. Then ChatGPT gets three questions a buyer in your field would ask, with web search on, and you see who it recommended.

OperStack Watch runs that loop every week for $35 a month. You get ten buyer questions, the names ChatGPT and Perplexity gave in place of yours, three rivals measured on the same scale, a fresh ten-page score, and one priority fix chosen from the sampled pages, pairing a page address with proposed text to review. The weekly email opens with what changed.

Otterly.AI: daily prompt monitoring from Austria

Otterly is made by OtterlyAI GmbH in Persenbeug, Austria. Its own description: an AI search monitoring and optimization platform where you define prompts, it runs them across AI search engines, and it reports mentions, sentiment, website citations, competitors and recommendations. It adds single-URL GEO audits, prompt research and Agent Analytics, which counts AI bot visits from server logs.

Where does OperStack go further than Otterly?

Otterly tells you how often AI engines mention you; OperStack goes on to tell you what to change on which page, and shows it to you before you sign up. Seven differences, each checked against Otterly’s own pages:

  1. Ten pages read, not one URL. Otterly’s help center is explicit that a GEO audit covers “one single URL page”, even if you type in your domain, and bulk audits go through the API. The OperStack free check samples up to ten pages from your sitemap on every run, and Watch scores all ten again each week. A site’s AI readiness rarely lives on the homepage alone; it lives on the service, pricing and location pages buyers land on.

  2. The paragraph, not a suggestion. Otterly’s recommendations come with a “Reasoning” and a “Suggestion”, described as “a concrete action you can take”, in types such as Create Content On-Page, Improve Existing Content, Reddit, press release and YouTube. Ready-to-paste page text is not stated. OperStack writes the text: for any checked page missing a short answer at the top, an opening paragraph assembled only from what your own pages say, with a button to copy it. Watch proposes one priority fix each week, then checks the site again.

  3. Enough data on day one. Otterly refreshes recommendations every seven days, and only once an account has 15 or more prompts, three or more competitors defined and three days of data. Lite holds exactly 15 prompts and shows up to three recommendations per cycle. The OperStack free check writes its first fix in the same session you type your address.

  4. A live answer before any signup. Otterly offers no free public check of live AI answers; seeing whether ChatGPT names you means signing up for the trial. Its free AI Brand Authority Check asks models whether they know a brand and says its results “reflect AI training data, not real-time web”. Ours asks ChatGPT with web search on, while you wait, and you can run it three times per connection per day.

  5. Rivals and non-rivals kept apart. Otterly’s Prompts tab lists the competitor brands that appear in AI answers. OperStack names everyone ChatGPT recommended in your place and sorts them: actual competitors, businesses that only look like rivals (portals, law firms), and names it could not identify. A property portal that ChatGPT keeps mentioning stops cluttering your list of rivals.

  6. A letter instead of a login. A weekly email is not stated anywhere in Otterly’s pages we read; its help center mentions notification toggles in settings. Watch sends one email every seven days from your subscription date, with the week’s changes and the fixes.

  7. MCP for everyone. Otterly’s MCP server starts at Standard, $189 a month. OperStack’s MCP server is free, needs no account, and scores or compares sites from inside Claude, ChatGPT, Cursor and other clients.

How much does Otterly cost per year?

On 3 October 2026, Otterly Lite cost $29 monthly or a displayed $25 per month with annual billing, equivalent to $300 yearly. Watch costs $35 monthly or $299 annually. Otterly includes 4 engines; additional engines and higher tiers change the bill, so compare the actual package you need.

PlanMonth to monthBilled annuallyPer yearPromptsMCP

Otterly EnterpriseCustomCustomCustom1,000 and upNot stated
OperStack Watch$35$299 a year$29910 buyer questionsFree MCP server, separate from Watch

The yearly totals for Otterly are our multiplication; the pricing page shows only the per-month figure on annual billing and says “Annually 15% off”. Prices are in US dollars excluding tax. The pricing FAQ says “All subscriptions are on a monthly basis”, although the same page sells annual billing.

Like for like, the cheapest Otterly plan that tracks ChatGPT and shows competitors is Lite, and month to month it is $6 cheaper than Watch. On annual billing the two land a dollar apart. The difference is what arrives for the money. Lite gives 15 prompts you write, one workspace, up to three recommendations a week, single-URL audits (1,000 a month), no API, no MCP and no extra prompt packs. Watch gives a ten-page score each week, the businesses ChatGPT and Perplexity chose instead of you, three rivals measured beside you, a priority page fix with paste-ready text, and a weekly letter. Details are on our pricing page.

Engines cost extra at Otterly. Google AI Mode and Gemini are $9 a month each on Lite ($59 on Standard, $149 on Premium), and Claude is $29 a month on Lite ($109 and $439 higher up). A Lite account with all seven engines comes to $76 a month, or $786 a year on the annual add-on prices ($93 each for AI Mode and Gemini, $300 for Claude, plus $300 for Lite itself). Extra prompts are $99 for 100 on Standard and Premium, and not sold on Lite.

Is there a free Otterly plan?

Otterly’s pages disagree. The pricing page lists no free plan. The help article on buying a plan says “OtterlyAI offers a free tier”, and the cancellation article says a cancelled account “will switch to the free plan”. What is clearly free: a set of side tools, including prompt research, a query fan-out simulator, a GEO Content Check for any URL, an AI crawler simulation and the brand authority check. None of them shows whether ChatGPT names your business in a live answer today. The OperStack free check does exactly that, without an account.

How does Otterly check AI answers, and how does OperStack?

Otterly Lite follows 15 selected prompts daily across 4 engines and offers separate URL audits. Watch asks ChatGPT and Perplexity 10 questions weekly, samples website pages and writes proposed edits. Daily multi-engine tracking and weekly ChatGPT and Perplexity reports have different coverage; a side-by-side count alone cannot establish which produces more useful business decisions.

What you are handedCharts, citations, sentiment, recommendations with a suggestionA priority page fix: page address, then the paragraph

Two practical consequences follow from this. Otterly’s per-country counting means a clinic chain asking the same 15 prompts in two countries uses 30 prompt slots, twice the Lite allowance. And because the prompt list is yours, the quality of what Otterly measures depends on how well you guessed what buyers type. The free check skips that guess: it asks three questions a buyer of your kind of business would ask, with nothing for you to write.

On engines, Otterly covers more. Its base plans include ChatGPT, Google AI Overviews, Perplexity and Microsoft Copilot, with AI Mode, Gemini and Claude as add-ons; its changelog shows Claude moving from early access for the first 50 customers (18 June 2026) to a paid add-on on all plans (22 June 2026). Watch puts its weekly questions to ChatGPT and Perplexity only. What the free check does for the other engines is narrower: it reads your robots.txt rules for 14 AI crawlers and fetchers and reports, engine by engine, whether their bots are let in. It does not track what those assistants answer.

What arrives on Monday morning: an Otterly dashboard or an OperStack letter?

Otterly users can review their dashboard and its recommendations, while Watch subscribers receive 1 email on their recurring subscription weekday. The report shown above illustrates the format. The important step after reading either output is assigning an edit to a person who can verify the facts and publish the change.

OperStack Watch gives the site owner a weekly series covering 10 buyer questions in ChatGPT and Perplexity and the businesses named in each answer. Alongside that record, it checks sampled pages, measures 3 rivals and supplies proposed wording for page findings. Later reports show changes against the previous observation, so the owner can follow the same question through successive weeks. An Otterly user keeping daily multi-engine reports can assign a different responsibility to that broader dataset. The useful comparison is whether each report informs a decision the team actually makes. An owner might ask an editor to improve one service explanation from the Watch letter while a marketer reviews engine-level movement elsewhere. Record the published text and date before interpreting a later result. Questions, sources and market conditions can change independently of the edit, and a single change in the count is not evidence of an increase in sales.

  1. Keep any daily engine coverage your team actively uses.
  2. Assign the written Watch suggestion to a responsible editor.
  3. Track the edited page and recurring question results separately.

When you need a different kind of tool

Otterly Lite includes 15 daily prompts across 4 engines for $29 monthly, and that coverage matters if your team uses several answer systems in its reporting. Watch focuses on weekly ChatGPT and Perplexity observations and written page tasks. Treat required engine coverage as a real scope difference when deciding what to keep.

  1. Preserve daily multi-engine reporting if someone uses it to make decisions. A weekly two-engine series cannot reproduce every one of those observations.
  2. Check higher-tier API, MCP and reporting requirements separately from Lite. Access and allowances vary by plan.
  3. Use a full technical crawler or search-data suite when the job involves an entire catalogue, keywords or backlinks. Watch’s sample is deliberately limited.

For an owner whose next action is a page edit, our $35 email keeps the finding and proposed wording together. The Semrush comparison explains the separate search-research budget.

Otterly or OperStack for a clinic owner, an agency running ten clients, a software company or a shop?

For 4 common buyers, coverage and the person doing the work matter more than the plan name. Watch keeps ChatGPT and Perplexity questions and page edits together. Otterly includes daily observations across several engines. A clinic, agency, software company or shop should decide which questions it can realistically review and act on.

If the goal is to be named in ChatGPT, each of these four starts with the OperStack free check; Otterly fits only where the job is reporting across many engines or markets.

  1. A clinic owner

A clinic owner rarely has time to write 15 prompts, define three competitors and wait three days for the first suggestion. With OperStack, the free check needs the clinic’s address, then shows whether ChatGPT named it for three patient-style questions and which clinics it named instead. If a service page opens with a slogan instead of an answer, the paragraph to paste is already written. Watch keeps asking every week for $35 a month.

  1. An agency running ten clients

An agency is paid either for reports or for results. For results, the OperStack kit is: a free check to start a pitch by showing a prospect which firms ChatGPT recommended over them; the free MCP tools, which put up to four sites on the same 100-point scale from inside your AI client; a one-off $149 audit when a client signs (100 pages read, five rivals, files ready to use, a person reviews it, no subscription attached); and a Watch subscription for each client whose weekly fixes your team will publish. Otterly Standard’s 100 prompts across ten clients leave ten prompts each (15 under its agency partner program, which lifts Standard to 150), before any second country doubles the count.

  1. A software company

SaaS buyers ask ChatGPT for shortlists, and the list is where a product is won or lost. Each week Watch asks ChatGPT and Perplexity ten questions your buyers ask, lists the tools named in your place, and writes the opening your product or pricing page lacks. Developer-led teams can run the free MCP tools inside the editor they already use. Two other comparisons SaaS teams read: OperStack vs Profound, a platform that pairs AI answer tracking with content agents, and OperStack vs Semrush, a suite with keyword data.

  1. A shop

Shoppers ask where to buy a product and which store is trustworthy. Watch shows whether the store appears and which shops ChatGPT and Perplexity preferred, and it writes the answer-first paragraph for the category page. Shops relying on AI ad reporting should note that Otterly’s changelog reported ChatGPT Ads reporting as temporarily paused on 16 September 2026.

Running both, or moving from Otterly to OperStack

Before switching, compare the questions and engines you use today with Watch’s 10 weekly questions in ChatGPT and Perplexity. Keep Otterly for any monitoring that still serves a decision. Save exports and check the billing period before cancelling; the products can also remain alongside each other when their outputs have distinct owners.

Otterly’s MCP server, on Standard and above, returns your brand report data, prompts, raw answers, citations, recommendations and GEO audits, and can create or delete prompts with write permission. OperStack’s free server scores a site out of 100, compares two to four sites on one scale, checks an llms.txt file and whether its links lead anywhere, and reads your AI visit counter. In one Claude or Cursor session you can pull the sites Otterly says AI answers cite, then put up to three of them next to yours on one scale with OperStack’s compare tool. Setup steps for each client are on our MCP page.

Moving from Otterly takes four steps, and the order matters because of how Otterly handles cancellation:

  1. Save what you want to keep first. Otterly says tracked AI search engines and historical data are deleted after an account is cancelled. On Standard and Premium, pull what you need through the API, MCP or Looker Studio connector; GEO audits download as PDF. Lite has no API or MCP, so copy the figures you care about by hand.
  2. Run the free check on your site to see today’s ChatGPT answer and the paragraph for any page that lacks an opening.
  3. Start Watch. You enter a card at checkout, and nothing is charged if you cancel inside the first seven days.
  4. Cancel Otterly through Manage Plan, then Cancel Subscription. Paid features stay until the end of the billing cycle. Otterly’s refund terms are not stated on the web pages we read; the full terms are in a downloadable PDF dated April 2026.

A tracker that also runs prompts daily is covered in OperStack vs Peec AI, and a hosted SEO MCP server in OperStack vs ContextBolt.

What our website check found beyond access

Our checker gave the Otterly homepage full marks in 3 technical areas on 26 September 2026, but fewer points for quotable content and dates. The run read only 1 page. It illustrates a difference between allowing access and presenting useful page evidence; it says nothing about Otterly customers’ monitoring results.

This section uses the stored OperStack run, separate from any Otterly output. We did not submit a website to Otterly. Its own-site score and the one-page limitation are also shown in the template above.

Group of measured areasPointsMaximumWhat remains to inspect
Access, agent map and entity combined6060Whether the declarations match the intended site
Quotable content1025The actual heading and opening explanation
Dates and sources515Visible evidence behind time-sensitive claims
Whole measured sample75100Only the homepage was read

The combined technical score is our arithmetic from 25, 15 and 20 points. A high result in that group cannot tell an editor whether the first paragraph makes a useful statement. An accessible page may still rely on slogans, leave a question unanswered or give a figure with no origin.

For your own site, review the page that receives the most qualified enquiries rather than assuming the homepage represents the whole business. Read its introduction in isolation, open any cited source and confirm what changed on the stated update date. Keep necessary caveats in the paragraph a reader might copy.

That review gives context to the written fix in Watch. The draft should solve a specific omission the owner has verified, while the next report supplies a further observation of the questions. Neither this example nor a future score increase promises a gain in sales.

Our own site on the same check: oper-stack.com scores 93 out of 100 over 10 pages, measured on 7 October 2026. The number is measured again on every build of this site and never typed by hand.

Frequently asked questions

How much does Otterly.AI cost per month and per year?
On 3 October 2026 Otterly's pricing page listed Lite at $29 a month, Standard at $189 and Premium at $489, with Enterprise on custom terms. Billed annually, those become $25, $160 and $422 a month; the page shows no yearly totals, so Lite works out to $300 a year by our arithmetic. Google AI Mode, Gemini and Claude cost extra on every plan. OperStack Watch is $35 a month or $299 a year.
Does the Otterly free trial need a credit card?
No. Otterly's help center says the 7-day trial needs no card and includes 50 search prompts and 100 GEO audit URLs. You do have to sign up to see any live AI answers. OperStack Watch takes a card at checkout, but its free check needs no signup at all and shows ChatGPT's live answer to three buyer questions before you commit to anything.
Does Otterly check more than one page of my site?
Not per audit. Otterly's help center says a GEO audit covers one URL only, even if you enter your domain, and bulk audits run through the API, which is not on the Lite plan. OperStack's free check reads up to ten pages sampled from your sitemap and scores them together out of 100; Watch repeats that ten-page measurement every week, with three rivals measured beside you.
Does Otterly write the text to fix my pages?
Otterly's recommendations give a reasoning and a suggested action, sorted by impact and refreshed every seven days once you have 15 or more prompts, three or more competitors and three days of data. Ready-to-paste page text is not stated. OperStack writes the paragraph itself: for a checked page with no short answer at the top, an opening built only from what your own pages already say, with the page address.
What happens to my Otterly data if I cancel?
Paid features stay until the end of the billing cycle, then the account moves to a free plan, and Otterly says tracked AI search engines and historical data are deleted after cancellation. Pull anything you want to keep before you cancel. With OperStack Watch you can cancel any time; within the first seven days you pay nothing, and after that you are not charged again.
Is OperStack cheaper than Otterly.AI?
Month to month, no: Otterly Lite is $29 and Watch is $35. On annual billing the two are a dollar apart, $300 a year for Lite by our multiplication against $299 for Watch. The money buys different things. Lite gives 15 prompts you write, up to three suggestions a week and single-URL audits. Watch gives ten pages scored weekly, the names ChatGPT and Perplexity chose instead of you, and text to paste.
Does Otterly have an MCP server, and does OperStack?
Both do. Otterly's remote MCP server comes with Standard and Premium and the trial, not Lite, and returns your brand reports, prompts, raw answers, citations and recommendations. OperStack's MCP server is free with no account for anyone, with five tools: score a site out of 100, compare two to four sites, check an llms.txt file, and read or verify an AI visit counter. Setup steps are at oper-stack.com/mcp/.
